It’s been a long time since I posted an update about my 101/1001 list. Unfortunately, that’s largely because I haven’t made much progress lately. I have, mostly, maintained okay, but I haven’t moved forward much. (With Sophia’s difficult period, it seemed all I could do was focus on getting through a day. She is largely past that, I think – but just in time for me to now be on bed rest. *sigh* Maybe we will eventually catch up to life around here.)
(As of today, my ticker says that I have 13 months, 1 week, and 3 days left. The italicized items are in progress; struck out items are completed) I guess it’s not terrible. I’ve completed 25. There are a number of others that it looks like I’ve made no progress on, because I keep missing months/weeks/days and having to start over. But the effort has still resulted in accomplishments I wouldn’t have made without the list.
Here’s how it stands now:

57. Have family portraits made. [Sadly, we still have not done this. Well, we tried, once, but none of the photos came out. (Long story.) We don’t have a single photo of our entire family since the day Sophia was born. Is that pathetic, or what?]

The only time I ever made pitas that puffed was when I used a very hot baking stone. Those puffed like crazy and were nummy – 100% whole wheat!
Thanks! I’ll have to try again. I used a baking stone preheated in my as-hot-as-it-went oven, and they still didn’t puff for me. But lots of people have had success, so it must just be something I’m doing wrong.
NINETY-FIVE POUNDS???
Okay, you better be like 3 feet tall or something, girl!
Just kidding. I am assuming that is a healthy weight for you. I was just a little shocked. I am 5’7″ and I don’t think I’ve been under a hundred pounds since I was eight. Suddenly, I felt like a giant.
I like your list. I wonder if I ought to make something like it as a sort of New Year’s Resolution. Hmmm…
LOL Yes. The original list with explanations added the explanation that I was aiming to get UP to 95 lbs. I’m not super-short, but I’m not tall – about 5’1″ and very small-framed.
Let me know if you figure out how to gain weight! My husband has always been thin, but ever since he got out of the hospital last year, he has been about 10 pounds less than his normal weight before, and no matter what I cook, it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
I, on the other hand, seem to have found his 10 pounds and kept it for my very own.
Ahem.
Anyhow, I was looking over your list again…there is pita bread (at least, I think it is the same thing–she calls it “pocket bread”) in the sourdough course I’m taking from GNOWFGLINS. The memberships are very inexpensive if that is something you are looking for to meet that goal.
Still praying for you and that baby!
