Hi! I’m Rachel.
Blogger. Author. Wife. Homeschool mom of five. Christian. Natural health aficionado. Frugalista. Bibliophile. Music fan. Crafter. Whole foods cook. Unnatural domestic.
And the voice behind Titus 2 Homemaker.
Time. Money. Health. Truth. Relationships. The Earth. All these (and more) are resources we’re called to steward faithfully.

It’s true that “homemaking is not a niche pursuit.” (It’s a holistic one.) But the common denominator among the many “hats” we wear is stewardship.
It’s a juggling act figuring out how to be the best stewards we can be, of all of our resources at the same time. Recycling preserves the environment, but often costs time. Buying pre-chopped onions saves time, but costs money. Using cloth “toilet paper” saves money and helps the environment, but isn’t a good relationship-builder in every household!

So you won’t find me calling for perfection around here (ha! As if that’s even possible), but you will find practical, realistic tools and information for tackling the various areas of home life as a faithful steward. Things like:
- making marriage work (I’ve been married to Michael since September 2000.)
- parenting (Not my biggest area of strength, but we have a teen, tween, grade schooler, kindergartner, and toddler, so it does pop up on occasion.)
- homeschooling (I’m a homeschooling mama & a homeschool graduate.)
- nutrition & natural health
- frugal living & DIY/developing creativity
- Biblical worldview & Christian growth (If you want to know where I’m coming from, you can read more about what my family believes.)
- celebrating holidays & the everyday
- cleaning
- organization (of spaces and of time & processes)
- decorating & hospitality
- whole foods (and recently, gluten-free) cooking & other kitchen helps (Very recently, it’s been autoimmune paleo/AIP)
I am not (at all!) domestic by nature. Rather, my being a stay-at-home-wife and homeschooling mother is a willful act of obedience for me. The things I write about here — if I can do them, you can, too! If you only take one thing away from here, I hope this is the thing you take with you. We’re all in this together, and we can help each other learn, grow, develop skills, and keep on keepin’ on.
So Jump Right In!
My primary goal is to encourage and equip other women in the callings of homemaking and motherhood. I have certainly not “arrived” in these areas. In fact, I really struggle in most of them! That means two things. First, if I had to work really, really hard to learn how to do something, then once I’ve finally figured it out, I know what to tell you – because I know what I needed to know. (This concept actually has a name! Conscious competence.) Second, I’d love to learn from you, too!
So don’t be shy about leaving your thoughts and ideas in the comments when you read my posts. Feel free to follow me on social media. (See below.) And be sure to sign up so you don’t miss anything!
You can sign up for my feed via email (that will send you the new posts every day), and/or you can sign up for my newsletter, where I’ll email you once a month with some of the previous month’s highlights and any new news (like current giveaways or great deals). I send occasional mid-month emails, as well, but I promise I won’t flood your inbox! When you sign up, you’ll also get access to my resource library.
