I’m going to overload y’all with pictures today. Since they’re pretty much all photos of my adorable toddler and infant (am I allowed to say that about my own kids? 😉 ) I figure you won’t mind too much. Yesterday I talked about the Juice high chair from Mamas & Papas, and I told you that they also sent outfits for my two youngest but I’d tell you about them in another post. Well, this is that post.
For the most part, I imagine the pictures will speak for themselves.
Livia
Livia was a great little model. In fact, she was almost too good a model! She let me get her all dressed and get her hair brushed and in a clip before we headed outside for our photo session. I said, “Why don’t you go over there by the tree?” So she walked right over to the tree and stood stock-still. “Can you turn around and face me?” So she turned back around to look at me – and froze.
A few shots later, we tried to head to the backyard. Problem was, she kept “freezing” on her way down the hill to be sure I could take a picture! We were able to get some good shots, though, when she was paying more attention to the cat – or the neighbors across the street – than to me.
To be honest, I’m usually pretty boring when it comes to kids’ clothes. I usually just buy things like solid t-shirts and jeans. You know, basics than can be interchanged and are typically dirt cheap. I’m not much into boutique-style clothes, and I wasn’t sure what I thought of these when they were in the packages. But once they were on, I loved them.
Livia really loved hers, too, and showed them off to Grandma when Grandma came by to pick something up later that day. Here she’s pointing out the flowers on her shirt.
One thing I really appreciate about these shorts is that they have an adjustable waist.
Caleb
Caleb was not such a willing model. I guess he couldn’t care less about clothes.
I appreciated that his collar was wide enough to not flip up into his face. We have some other collared shirts that have that problem – and then they tickle his cheeks and make him angry that he’s not getting food. This one stayed put.
There’s a little cartoon-y picture embroidered on the bottom of his shirt.
And some nifty pockets on his shorts.
Siblings
Livia even stayed carefully out of the way, looking after her little brother when he was crying, even though she really wanted to kiss/soothe him. She was trying very hard to not get extra little hands in my pictures of Caleb!
