I received the box shown below to facilitate my review.  As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Mela Artisans is “a socially conscious luxury lifestyle brand.”  What in the world does that mean?  It means that they partner with artists around the world to produce gorgeous products.  The net result is a much wider marketplace for artisans in the developing world, enabling them to have sustainable businesses, and beautiful jewelry and home goods for us, that we wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

They really have some amazingly beautiful products.  I can’t even do the line justice in a single post.  You’ll just have to go check them out for yourself!  The prices vary considerably, and they carry everything from throw pillows to decorative boxes to necklaces to scarves…and on the list goes.  The banana fiber placemats, brass cuff bracelets, and cashmere scarves are just a few of my favorite items.

This decorative wooden box is one of my favorites, too!  I love the natural tone-on-tone look and the hand carving.

When you visit the site, you can shop by category (decor, jewelry, etc.) or you can shop by region.  I always find that interesting, because you learn a little about what resources are plentiful in various areas when you browse that way!
