God is already blessing my efforts with my 101/1001 list – He has been helping me get prepared by providing things via Christmas.
-One of the obstacles to my goal of taking Ariel to one of the local museums (#50) was the high cost of museum admissions, but we were given an annual museum pass for Christmas.
-One of the aprons that would be likely to make my “apron-a-day” list (#38) was the Dorcas apron, because it has such good coverage. I would have had to add purchasing the pattern to the list of steps necessary to complete that project – but I received it as a Christmas gift.
-I was having some difficulty finding a sketchbook for my Bible verse journal (#4). (It’s a two-hour round trip across a toll bridge to get to someplace that sells these, and it would be a special trip.) Especially, it was going to be quite a feat for me to get my hands on one before the new year so I could get started right away – but I was given one.
-The first thing I intend to find an environmentally-friendly replacement for (#81) is my shampoo. Sophia received a Burt’s Bees Baby Bee gift set for Christmas that includes a shampoo bar, which lathers beautifully! I did not even realize Burt’s Bees made a shampoo bar, but this is now going to be the first thing I try.
-One of Ariel’s gifts, a Lauri Fit-a-State puzzle, will help me with one of our academic goals for this year. (Michael wants her to learn to identify the fifty states.)
