I don’t know what it’s like in your house, but around here, we go through a lot of paper. My kids are constantly wanting to draw something, so the printer is usually empty of paper when hubby and I are ready to print something, and the girls draw picture after picture after picture, usually just to throw them away in the end.
Sooo…I finally decided to set aside another paper drawer (our paper is in plastic Sterilite 3-drawer containers) just for “junk paper.” “Junk paper” is those pages that printed out at the end of an internet printout, where only the web address is on it, or pages that half-printed when the ink cartridge was running out, pages we don’t need anymore, etc. These all go in the junk paper drawer, because the kids can draw/write on the backs of them. They can access this paper whenever they want, and my “real” paper supply remains largely intact. If they need “real” paper for something, they have to ask.
Saving paper works for us. 🙂
