I challenge you to:
- Declutter something and/or eliminate a scheduling expectation. (Simplify Your Life Week, 1-7)
- Do an exercise video or play an active game with your children. (Exercise With Your Child Week, 8-14)
- Make something! (The Date to Create, 8)
- Give your neighbors some garden produce. (Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day, 8 I could not make this up.)
- Do something romantic for your husband. (Resurrect Romance Week, 14-20)
- If you’ve never thrift-shopped, do. If you regularly do, donate something. (Thrift Shop Day, 17)
- Hug your hubby. (Hug Your Boss Day, 19) (I wouldn’t recommend hugging any other boss you may have. Unless you work for your dad or your church or something.)
- Write a note to an older friend, telling him how much you appreciate his wisdom. Or take a special treat to an older friend. (Senior Citizens’ Day, 21)
- Talk to your children about slavery. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. (Remembrance of the Slave Trade and Abolition Day, 23)
- Buy a necessary piece of your wardrobe from a thrift or consignment store, or a yard sale. (Secondhand Wardrobe Day, 25)
If they are on your list, this might be a good month to focus on these goals:
- Decluttering (Simplify Your Life Week, 1-7)
- Replace your underwear. (Underwear Day, 4 or 5)
- Complete sewing projects and/or learn to sew. (Sewing Machine Day, 12)
