If you’re anything like me, Mother’s Day has a tendency to sneak up on you. I always know it’s coming, but then it’s here before I realize it! If you’re looking for a great last-minute gift option for mom, how about a magazine subscription? All you have to do then is put a note in her card!
Magazines.com has some great Mother’s Day specials. Actually, I’ve found them to have great prices, in general. Some of my favorite magazine subscriptions have been purchased through Magazines.com, and I always get a good deal.
If you’re looking for a magazine for mom (or another mother in your life – your grandma, mother-in-law, aunt, sister…), consider the selection of cooking magazines, health magazines, or craft magazines.
But they don’t just have magazines for moms/women! There are some great kids’ magazines, like SI (Sports Illustrated) for Kids and Yum! (a new kids’ cooking magazine). I couldn’t decide which of these to get for my girls. (Their daddy gets SI, so I thought they might find it pretty neat to get their own. But they enjoy cooking, too…might just have to keep the second one in mind for a birthday or something.) There are sports and DIY magazines for Dad. Fashion magazines. Really, there’s quite a good selection, and the prices are all far better than paying newsstand prices! (Clean Eating is one of my newest finds.)
When your magazines start arriving, try my sticky-note method for reading them efficiently, and then save them to cut up for art journaling with the kids! (Well, you probably don’t want to save all of them. 🙂 But keep a stack.)
Disclosure: Magazines.com, through FlyBy Promotions, is providing me with a magazine subscription in exchange for letting you know about this deal. I did not receive any other compensation. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
Can you get National Enquirer with this? I’d love to give that to my Mom.
It looks like they do have National Enquirer. (http://www.magazines.com/the-national-enquirer/8118-MA,default,pd.html) But only as a pretty lengthy subscription.
People Magazine is my favorite.
