In case anyone was wondering what we really did do yesterday, here is the post prior to mad lib-style editing:
Today is our errand day. We have to go to Wal-Mart and pick up milk and several other necessary items. We also have to go to Pizza Hut and get Ariel’s Book-It pizza before it’s too late. I forgot about it, and it’s now the beginning of the next month, so we’re cutting it close. Hopefully we won’t have to be gone too long.
This weeks’ assignment:
I was wondering tonight (Wed. March 26th) when the last time was that I laughed so hard my cheeks ached and my stomach hurt. This week I thought it would be fun to share one or two short experiences with everyone about one of those times in your lives. Tell a story or two about the last BIG laugh you had with your hubby or whole family. The don’t mean a little ha ha laugh…I’m talking about cheek hurtin’, gut wrenchin’,snortin’ out loud, almost wet my pants laughing moments!!! This can be a recent story or one from your childhood. We all want to laugh with you and enjoy these funny moments! Have fun and you can add pictures if you have any. Don’t forget: Add your favorite verse for this assignment.
Little ones say the funniest things, so some of my funniest memories are of silly things Ariel has said. They’re usually “gut wrenchin'” funny because they tickled my funny bone just right at the time (and often because they catch me off-guard), so hopefully you’ll find them funny enough to at least get a laugh. 🙂
One of my favorite was the discussion with Ariel, when she was very small, of cultural etiquette as it pertains to the connotations of words. We were sitting in the hallway and she was telling me that I’m beautiful. And Grandma is beautiful. “And Daddy is beautiful.” I agreed with her, but pointed out that most people wouldn’t say he’s “beautiful,” because he’s a man. Most people would call him, “handsome.” “Well,” she replied, “I call him ‘Daddy’!” After I stopped laughing, I had to admit that she was right! 🙂
“A merry heart does good, like medicine.” (Prov. 17:22a)

That made me smile! How cute.
Children say the sweetest things, and they always tell it like it is. Love the Scripture passage. Thanks for sharing your story.
