…exercise my creativity:

37. Sew new Day-Timer cover/wallet (unless I find one suitable; then get it).
38. Create a “plan” for an apron for each day of the week.
39. Hand-bind 5 books.
40. Journal once a month for a year, using a variety of styles/media.
41. Make 3 things from fabric that is already designated to a project.
42. Make 50% or more of Christmas gifts, and have completed by December 1st.
43. Complete 12 scrapbook layouts, including new example set for book.
44. Complete Jenn’s “Book of Me” challenges (at least 15).
45. Make Advent calendar.
Most of the items in this section are just for fun, to force me to spend a little time doing something I enjoy, or to help me stretch myself in the area of artistic creativity (which is not a strength of mine). A few, though, are more “organizational” in nature. Numbers 33, 41, and 43 are all designed to get half-finished projects or piles of materials that have been sitting around the house, out of the way and into a useful format. Numbers 36 and 37 are because the diaper bag/purse and Day-Timer cover/wallet I currently have don’t really quite meet my needs, and I really need to just make my own so they have the features I want. I’ve been putting this off, though, because I don’t have a firm design in mind.
Number 38 probably requires a little bit of explanation. I have (when I’m actually following it) a basic weekly plan – laundry on Mondays, errands on Tuesdays, kitchen stuff on Wednesdays, office-y stuff on Thursdays, overall house cleaning on Fridays, yard/garden stuff and big projects around the house on Saturdays (and, of course, rest, worship, and fellowship on Sundays). I like aprons, for several reasons. They make me feel feminine (well, if they’re pretty ones). They inspire me to get things done I otherwise struggle with having motivation for. And they can equip me to do my work.
I am also notoriously scatterbrained and have trouble staying on task. Soooo, I would like to eventually have an apron for each day of the week (with the probably exception of Tuesdays and Sundays), geared to that day’s work. This would not only make me feel feminine, inspire me, and keep my tools close at hand, but, hopefully, help me remember what it is I’m supposed to be doing, as well! This is the plan I have in mind for creating – choosing patterns and fabric, and deciding what features each day’s apron should incorporate.
