Last December, I found myself with lots of time on my hands, because I was on bed rest. I used part of the time to look through “odd holiday” lists and make notes to myself of fun events to celebrate with my children, blog prompts, etc. Somewhat on a whim, I decided to create some monthly challenges based on holidays occurring each month. Much to my surprise, these were a huge hit! Several of you have written and told me how much you loved these challenges.
Now I’m left with the dilemma of what to do next year, as I don’t have a month of free time on my hands to create new lists! I have compiled all of the challenges into a PDF eBook, of sorts, that will be available for download, without the dates. (This will be the download freebie for feed subscribers during the month of January.) But I wonder if some of you will be disappointed to not have them posting to the site each month.
If you are one of those who has really enjoyed these challenges, I would love it if you would drop me an email or leave a comment telling me what you think. Would you like me to keep reposting these challenges each month, even if they aren’t new? Should I list the holidays that inspired them, but just leave off the dates, as some of them change each year? Or was it a neat idea, but you have no desire to repeat it during the coming year? Let me know what will be most helpful to you!
To recap, here are this year’s challenges:
