As a Tommy Mommy, I received the following book to facilitate my review. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

A while back, we reviewed The Door Within, another middle grade Christian fantasy story (and the opening book of a trilogy). Wayne Thomas Batson is back with another book in the same genre for the same audience.
Dreamtreaders centers around the the concept of a dream world. This dream world is as real – for those who are in it – as our world. Most people who dream encounter this world, but not in a way that’s lastingly noticeable to them, and they cannot interact with it. There are, however, three special people – the Dreamtreaders – who can enter the dream, interact with it, and impact it. It is, essentially, their job to maintain it (under the leadership of the angel Gabriel). This dream world is, in turn, a doorway to a third world (although this does not play a significant role in this particular volume of the soon-to-be-trilogy).
Unsurprisingly, my daughter and I both enjoyed this. You can view Ariel’s brief review over at KidzVuz. (This was her first-ever video review, so she’s still learning the ropes.)
The allegory in this series is a little less “perfect” than in the other trilogy – I’d more likely call it “symbolism” – but it’s still effective. And even without any allegory, it’s a good, clean fantasy.
