Today is Absolutely Incredible Kid Day! I think this is a great holiday, because it reminds us to think about what makes our children uniquely wonderful.
What Makes My Kids Incredible
Ariel is an “absolutely incredible kid” because she has big dreams and an active imagination. What she wants to be and do when she grows up are not limited by practicality. (Couldn’t most of us stand to dream a little bigger? The Bible says that God is able to do abundantly beyond anything we can ask or think.)
Sophia is an “absolutely incredible kid” because she has a delightful zeal for life. She gets excited about lots of “little things,” and her excitement is contagious. (She also says some pretty hilarious things.)
Livia is an “absolutely incredible kid” because she is joyful and full of smiles. She’s a little imp like big sister Sophia was at her age — but you can’t be angry with her, because she’s just so darned cute!
What Makes YOUR Kids Incredible
Let me challenge you to give some thought to what makes each of your children incredible. If you have a blog, write it up and post it — then come back here within the next week and link up so we can all read about them. (If you don’t have a blog, I wonder if you might be able to link up a Facebook status? To grab the link for a Facebook status, right-click the date/time stamp, then click “copy link” or “copy target.”) The idea is to publicly acknowledge what we love about each of our children as individuals.
