I did not take our camera to Mom and Dad’s this weekend, because we’ve been having battery issues with it. When we first got the camera, we used regular lithium camera batteries. They’re pricey, but they lasted a long time. Eventually, when we had the funds, I switched to rechargeable lithium batteries. These seem to be the more frugal choice. Besides, if we have rechargeables, then we always have batteries; there are no concerns about the batteries dying and our not having replacements on hand. After a while, though, (and not a long while) the rechargeables quit working. They only lasted for about five pictures. I finally pitched them. Well, I tried using regular (non-lithium) batteries the last time the ($16!) camera batteries died. They lasted about 30 seconds. Literally. Sooo…
Does anyone have any idea as to why I can’t seem to keep camera batteries working? So far, the only workable solution has been the expensive single-use camera batteries. I’d really like to use rechargeables, but they have to actually work! lol Do I need a different charger? Or just different batteries? Is one brand better than others? I am currently tied to the wall when taking photographs!
Are they getting cold? We had left our batteries in the van while on vacation and they were dying very quickly. Since being home and using the batteries from inside the house…no problems. That’s all I can think of.
