One of the things my husband “fusses” at me for regularly is not asking for help.* Honestly, I just don’t think about it. I get so busy doing (it’s a personality thing) that I don’t stop long enough to consider the fact that someone else could help!
To one degree or another, I’m guessing we all do that at some point, for a variety of reasons. Maybe, like me, you get so busy doing that you forget to delegate or ask for help. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience in the past with someone not following through when you were counting on them. Maybe it’s just faster and easier to do it yourself.
Regardless, we all need help sometimes. It’s not healthy to do everything ourselves; that’s a recipe for burnout. And sometimes people around us need the opportunity of “doing,” too!
So consider today a reminder to NOT do-it-(all)-yourself.
I thought these two quotes were pretty remarkable in their similarity!

*I use the term “fuss” very loosely; hopefully you understand, in the context, what I’m trying to say!
