Ellie?
You’re probably wondering, “Who’s Ellie?” Well, Ellie actually isn’t a “who”; it’s a “what.” Ellie is an activewear brand. It’s designed by women, for women, to be functional and flattering, with a great fit. Each month a new collection becomes available. I got to check out a couple pieces from the new Coral Crush collection.
The “coral” in this line is a bit neon – a little brighter than I might have chosen if I had designed it – but coral is a good color for me. So is the neutral, warmish grey they chose to set it off. (These neutral greys can be hard to find – greys usually have too much blue for someone warmer-complected.)
The fabric did seem to be very “sturdy,” high quality. (“Sturdy” isn’t quite the right word, but I can’t think of a better one. It’s not stiff or anything, but it’s definitely not cheap or flimsy.) And I was pleased with the fit, overall. As most of you know, I’m pretty tiny, and nowadays I often have difficulty with extra-smalls not being extra small enough. These fit great, except that I had a little bit of difficulty, um… cramming my bust into the top. (I guess that’s a good thing, as it will hold everything where it belongs!)
This is the Wicked Attraction Tank and Double Decker Capri. You can pretty much see what there is to see of the tank. These capris have an interesting “twist,” though. They’re called “double decker” because of the waistband. Here you can see what the waistband looks like in its “normal” position:
See that great pop of coral? But this is an extra layer. See?
If you fold it down instead of up, there’s just this narrow stripe of coral (and it’s lower on the hips):
Interesting for providing multiple options. 🙂
I found this all very comfortable to wear and to move in, just a little tough to get on/off because of its snugness.
Please pardon any bad form in these photos. It’s a bit tricky to set the self-timer on the camera, then dash over and get in position before the shutter goes off! Ellie.com provided me with the pieces you see above, in exchange for my review. (Also, there are affiliate links in this post.) As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
What a super cute outfit that is super flattering on you as well! I’m off to Ellie to get me some cute activewear too! I hope it looks that cute on me. I’ve heard such good things about Ellie!
