I have to admit that television/movie viewing comprises the bulk of the “family” time in our house. There are a few television shows we like to watch consistently (NCIS is our favorite), and we enjoy watching movies on our not-Bose home theater system.
I’m sure we would do well to do other things together, as well, but we’re usually at a loss as to what activities can accommodate non-readers and still not bore Mom and Dad to tears. We have found Uno to be a good game for including preschoolers (especially if you remove the directional – skip and reverse – cards), but that’s about the only group game we’ve been able to come up with that she is able to play along with us. Any suggestions for family activities that work well with all ages would be greatly appreciated!
