I have been reading a lot about color lately – as in, the colors we wear – and it is amazing the differences that wearing the right colors can do. (Well, in theory, anyway. I’m pretty bad at this colors stuff, and can’t tell very dramatic differences in myself. But the differences in some of the photos I’ve seen are pretty huge.) Wearing the right colors can reduce the need for teen or adult acne treatments because it decreases the appearance of breakouts. (It won’t make you stop breaking out, of course, but it can make the acne less obvious.) It can make you look younger, as fine lines and wrinkles visually “disappear” or decrease. (Again, they don’t actually go away; they just appear less noticeable.) In general, it just brightens you up and makes you look prettier. (And who doesn’t want to look prettier? 😉 )
I seem to be a tricky one to analyze; I have colors in parts of me that seem to contradict the color groupings of other parts of me. (“Warm” hair and eyes with not-so-warm skin.) As I have looked into this, I have felt like something of a chameleon! But after much deliberation and draping of fabrics under my chin, trying on of various makeup colors, and taking photos in the carport to look at on the computer, I have figured out that I seem to be “medium” everything — not super-dark or super-light, not super-high-contrast, but not very low contrast, not totally cool but not totally warm.

Improvability (“Bright” and “clear” are the same thing, just two different naming systems. This is one of the shortest “quizzes,” but it seems to have categorized me accurately, which is not a simple task!)
E-nalysis (Shari Braendel – this one seems to be not quite operational yet, but it’s run by a Christian esthetician.)
