My husband and I would really like to stay in-state, because we want to be near family. It looks, however, as though there is a possibility he may be offered a pastorate many hours away. One of the things that’s kind of a bummer about that is really petty in the grand scheme of things – our timeshare.
We own a timeshare which, although several hours from us, is within an afternoon’s drive. We have all kinds of member perks at this location, including bonus weeks we can take there (or sometimes nearby). Our weeks are tradeable, but these other perks are not.
Fortunately, we can trade our weeks. They are tradeable for a wide variety of other locations all over the world – everything from a “standard” resort in Williamsburg to a cottage in England to a Vermont bed and breakfast (or a resort with a bed and breakfast feel, anyway). Even cruises are part of the trading program!
On the flip side, maybe we can use our timeshare to come home for a visit. 🙂
