In September, we studied ants. If you’d like to see pictures of Ariel’s shutterbook (also known as a “lapbook”), I have uploaded many of them here.
The inspiration/motivation for this unit was a Scripture-based song that Ariel knew, about “going to the ant” (from an album of the same name). We decided to study ants to find out why they are offered to us as an example. (I also figured we might as well derive some benefit from the ants that had invaded my kitchen! 🙂 )
Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which, having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. -Prov. 6:6-8
