With my Relevant trip rapidly approaching, I’ve been thinking about travel and packing. Here are a few products and tips I’ve found for making toiletries travel-friendly.
For Shaving:
- The Gillette Venus Embrace Razor
has built-in shaving “cream.” It works great, and avoids the need to pack separate shaving cream.
- Your (hair) conditioner can be used as shaving cream, eliminating a product in your bag.
- If you really want to take something with you specifically for shaving, but you want something small, Shave Secret
works beautifully, comes in a very small container (that lasts a long time), and is natural/healthy to boot! (It’s cheaper at Wal-Mart than through this link, though.)
For Your Skin:
- Nature Certified lotion
is the best lotion I’ve ever tried. It comes in a pump bottle that’s great for packing. Iit doesn’t ooze or spill.) It’s even available in a very small container.
For Baby:
- Nature Certified’s baby wash/shampoo
comes in a (foaming) pump bottle, as well. And it is available in a smaller size that’s great for travel. (You can use this for washing yourself, too, but it doesn’t suds well on a washcloth.)
- The same is true of the Earth Mama Angel Baby baby wash/shampoo
.
Of course, most hotels have soap, shampoo, conditioner, and washcloths/towels, so these aren’t usually a big packing issue.
Packing small, leak-resistant toiletries works for me!
We travel so much that I have purchased small bottles to fill with my favorite toiletries. 🙂
Thanks for these suggestions! I am visiting from WFMW, and it is nice to stop by your blog. I love the red background design. Very cute.
