101 Things in 1001 Days

Spiritual
1. Read the entire Bible (again).
2. Memorize 30 verses/passages.
3. Work through Prayer Practice.
4. Go a whole day without complaining, 5+ times.
5. Study Christian hedonism. (The idea is that we glorify God by enjoying Him forever. This is my short way of saying that I want to study seeking, and finding joy in, God.)
Family (Genealogy)
6. Find and read something from Slovene literature.
7. Find and read something from Lithuanian literature.
8. Convert a Slovene recipe to make it whole foods.
9. Convert a Lithuanian recipe to make it whole foods.
Business
10. Get images added to all old blog posts, for Pinterest. (I am not literally adding images to every old post. However, I have been going through all of my old posts, adding images to the evergreen ones so they’re Pinnable. There are years’ worth, so it’s taking a while.)
11. Make photography boards for blog (5+).
12. Publish Bible study guide. (Nearly finished, but I’m struggling with the formatting for this one.)
13. Publish Prayer Practice. (In print. It’s currently available only for Kindle because I need to figure out how to format it for print and/or PDF.)
14. Publish Just Cook It.
15. Publish health book.
16. [private] (I know; probably seems a little weird to make a business-related thing private. Some blog-related goals just feel awkward to post publicly, though. If/when I meet them, I’ll share!)
17. Create Udemy course. (I’ve been putting this off because it requires video and I’m video-clueless.)

19. Get Parties for Real launched. (This is a blog my sister and I are looking to launch together. That link is to the Pinterest account.)
20. Get DIY Unit Studies re-installed. (My unit studies blog. It somehow got broken and I haven’t gotten around to reinstalling it so I can fix it. Meanwhile, I can’t log in, so I can’t update it!)
21. Create photo product(s) to sell.
22. Have a viral post.
23. Hit ——– Pinterest followers.
24. Sell ——– (total) copies of a single book.
Mental/Educational
25. Learn Spanish. (Be able to read Esta Patente Oscuridad.)
26. Complete CLEP tests.
26. Read through the Newbery Medal list. (Wow; so far I am not impressed. It’s no wonder I haven’t read any more of these than I have.)

29. Take the first aromatherapy course.

30. Exercise 3x’s/week for 3 months.
31. Be able to jump rope 100 consecutive times.
32. Be able to do 30 pushups.

34. Get healthy. (I still have to figure out how to make this measurable. I’m looking to restore my adrenals, gut, etc. overall.)

69. Finish journals and begin integrating them all into one. (I currently have a “regular” journal, a spiritual journal, and an art journal. I need to just start journaling all in one journal, but I want to “finish” the current ones first.)
70. Buy/try brewed chocolate. (My mom discovered this while traveling. I have, technically, had it at her house, but I’ve never made it myself.)
71. Have portraits made (of myself).
Relationships, People, & Community
72. Leave a note in a library book.
73. Leave an edifying note for a stranger in a bathroom.
74. Take the girls to the park, spontaneously. (I know; it sounds weird to say “spontaneously” when it’s on a list! I just mean that I want sometime to say, “Hey, it’s a nice day; let’s go to the park,” as opposed to, “Next Wednesday afternoon, we’ll go to the park after school is finished.”)
75. Take the kids to the national zoo (or some zoo with a lion).
76. Potty train Livia.
77. Potty train Caleb. (That’s the crazy thing about a 1001-day list. The NEXT kid should be ready to potty train by the end of it!)
78. Teach Livia to read. (Likewise with this one – we’re probably a little ways out, but, hey – the end of 1,001 days is almost three years away.)
79. Get in a habit of prayer-walking with the kids, and talking to the neighbors. (This is less vague than it sounds. I have an actual plan in my head. I just haven’t gotten around to implementing it. If it “works” like I hope, you’ll definitely be reading about it.)
80. Create lists of 25 things I love about each of the children.
81. Create a list of verses I want the kids to all memorize.
82. Create a book of alphabetical Bible verses for the kids.

84. Visit a “new” thrift/consignment store.
85. Have a “staycation” – visit/experience at least 3 local attractions & eat a meal from somewhere local.
86. Make at least one purchase from a local shop (small business sort of thing).
87. Send a random registry gift. (I found this idea online somewhere, but now I can’t remember where. I thought it was kind of cool. You choose a random baby or bridal registry at Target or someplace, and send a gift off of it, anonymously. I’m thinking probably with a note about Random Acts of Kindness or some such, so as to – hopefully – avoid totally freaking the recipient out about a stalker or something.)
Home/Household
88. Create a good GF bread. (This doesn’t necessarily have to be a loaf bread. I’m just looking for one really GOOD, whole-grain bread option for sandwich-y things.)
89. Catch up on printing digital photos.
90. Learn to use the serger.
91. Declutter the library/office/craft room. (This is all one room.)
92. Pay off debt.
93. Maintain a tidy (company-ready) home (30 days).
94. Create hash brown casserole. (I LOVE Cracker Barrel’s Chicken Casserole with the hash browns. Problem #1: the copycat recipes are all full of junk. Problem #2: it’s not gluten-free. So I’m looking to recreate an approximation with GF real foods.)
95. Paint the laundry room & put up shelves.
96. Buy full complement of Norwex products.
97. Buy a houseplant. (1/15/2014 – spider plant from Aldi, of all places)
98. Solve the mystery of the wall cupboard’s organization. (That is, figure out how we can organize it/structure it so it is functional as pantry space. It’s this weird giant cupboard cut into our kitchen wall above the stairwell. Clever use of space, but…well, not a lot of shelving or anything.)
99. Wipe out the mending/refashioning pile.
100. Purge & scan patterns. (That is, get rid of the ones I don’t need, and be sure I have images for the rest for my pattern database.)
101. New 101 in 1001 list.

Oef, I always get scared of big to-do-wish- lists. I won’t write them, because than I WON’T HAVE ANY REST.
Nowadays I pray to God what He wants me to do, this or that day. The rest I leave with Him.
I’m a list-person, with great ideas, a real homemaker, but I ‘m in 3rd gear now!
