Adora calcium supplements are calcium (with vitamin D3 and magnesium) presented in a base of creamy chocolate. They’re available in milk chocolate or dark chocolate, as shown.
A lot of non-pill calcium supplements have a chalky mouth feel. These don’t. If you didn’t know you’re taking a calcium supplement, you’d probably just think you’re eating yummy chocolate. 🙂 In fact, they have to put a reminder on the back of the bag to treat it like a supplement – you can’t go eating the whole bag, or you’ll be overdosing on your supplements! This might make it a useful tool for portion control, if you want to eat just a little chocolate each day. 😉
They aren’t mega-gourmet quality, but they’re pretty good. (It’s not as if you’re going to get these ’cause they’re chocolate and then find that they’re like dollar store Christmas chocolates. They’re real, good chocolate. Just not creme dé la creme. They are, after all, supplements “first.”)
You can take anywhere from 1 to 3 of these a day. They’re gluten-free, with no corn syrup or trans fats. (Yay!) Because they’re wrapped, they might be easier to take on a trip than pills, too – assuming you don’t want to carry the whole pill bottle, and as long as you’re not going somewhere too hot! You could drop a couple into a purse or diaper bag, too, without them getting all grimy in the dust at the bottom of the bag.
Know someone who’s expecting? Pick up a bag of these as a baby gift – and head on over to the Baby Shower for Jesus giveaway (see button at the top of the blog page) to enter to win some other great baby gifts!
Disclosure: I received a bag each of milk chocolate and dark chocolate Adora supplements, to facilitate this review. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
