Sending Birth Announcements
Announcing the birth of a child is momentous occasion that you will want to share with everyone. There are a wide variety of different ways to share your baby with your family and friends that can meet any budget.
First, you will definitely want to include a photo of your new little boy or girl. You can either use the photo the hospital takes, you could schedule a portrait at home that can include the entire family, or you can take a photo of your new little special bundle yourself. You can decide on that based on your budget and style. Thanks to the advanced photo taking options with smartphones, you can take a great shot with your phone and use it for your announcement. Consider using one of the great phone editing apps to give it a more polished look. Instagram is a great (and free) program with a variety of filters that will help you edit your photos.
Order Announcements Online
There are plenty of great choices for birth announcements available online. Tiny Prints offers birth announcements to fit every style and budget. Something that many would love to receive is a magnet birth announcement. Everyone put magnets on their refrigerator. And everyone puts photos on their refrigerator. This is a great way to combine the two! Just make sure if you do decide to go with a magnet birth announcement to put a sticker on the envelope noting that a magnet is inside. This way the recipient doesn’t accidentally put the mail pile on a piece of electronics.
Professional Photos
A more expensive option would be to hire a professional photographer to capture your newborn. The photographer can shoot a variety of photos with many different family members. If you don’t have a preferred photographer, consider researching the NAPCP, the National Association of Professional Child Photographers, who have a directory of experienced and qualified photographers in your area!
The Crafty Option
To add a little bit of fun and crafty flair, do a “layered card.” You create your birth announcement and then add a piece of card stock under it for a very fancy look.
