It seems as though kids outgrow their clothes almost as quickly as parents can buy — or unpack — them. If you’re like me, you don’t like digging through piles of boxes every time a child outgrows a garment, to find the right one so you can pack the item away for the next child. For me, that meant I had clothes piling up all the time.
So now we have a “clothes to pack” box. This is one open box with all of the “sized” clothing boxes where I can just toss (neatly!) the items until there are a good number of them. Then I will haul the boxes all out and pack the things from the “clothes to pack” box all at once. This works for us!

This is exactly what I have started doing. With 4 kids things are constantly being outgrown or passed down to the next one. My hubby was getting tired of hauling the big totes up from the basement all the time and I absolutley hate stuff hanging around without immediate purpose. So I bought a tote that sits upstairs and I put the outgrown clothes in to it. When the weather changes here and we get the warm weather clothes out I’ll pack away the box of outgrown clothes too. Very good advice. 🙂
