Daddy Loves You So Much! is a sweet board book for daddies to read to their little ones. (Mamas can read it, too, of course, but parts of it are in first person, making it better-suited to reading with Daddy.)
The book uses illustrations of (personified) animal babies and their (personified) daddies to depict a variety of ways fathers demonstrate love for their children. Each spread contains four lines of rhyming text and communicates one idea about a daddy’s role. Daddies play, help, snuggle, teach, show grace, make us laugh, comfort, share, and disciple. Each of these is depicted with words and scenarios that children can understand.
What About Daddy?
What is it about Daddy that your kids notice most? I asked mine what is their “favorite thing about Daddy” (see their answers below); I’d love to hear what your kids think makes their daddies special, too! (If your kids don’t have a daddy, but they have one particular thing they miss most, maybe it’s something another special man in their life can help fill in for?)
“What is your favorite thing about Daddy?”
Caleb: [after much rewording of the question] “He plays Mario Kart with me!”
Livia: “Sometimes we can play something with him.”
Sophia: “He works for us.”
Ariel: “I have to pick just one?” [long pause] “He’s hard-working.”
