My emergency numbers page has a heading of “EMERGENCY NUMBERS” in bold red letters.
Next, it says (in bold) You Are Here:
This is followed (in regular type), by our telephone number, address, and (italicized) basic directions. (We live in the country.)
The next section says EMERGENCY (in red) Fire, Police, or Ambulance: 911 (“911” being in bold red type).
The next section lists the numbers for the poison control center, sheriff (non-emergency), fire department (non-emergency), and local hospital.
The next section is labeled, “Emergency Contacts.” For each contact, the name and number is listed. Then, on the next line, in italics, is an explanation of who that person is. My parents and my husband’s parents are listed, as well as some local friends, our pastor, and a friend who is willing to keep Ariel, if necessary.
