That Your Generations May Know
(Holidays)
This section is accompanied by an image of a shofar (which I found via a Google image search), and the following verse:
“And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, “The feasts of YHWH, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts…that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your God.”‘” – Lev. 23:1,43
This contains wish lists for each member of the family, including a list of children’s books we’d like to have.
It includes a list of “special birthday” gift ideas. These are items I’d like my girls, or my boys, to have at some point, and which may make good gifts for “milestone” birthdays. For example a sewing machine for a daughter.
I also have a “hope chest” list. This is a list of things that would be good projects to complete for a hope chest, as well as other ideas I run across which I’d like to include. One example is letters from me to my daughter.
Next I have a holiday planner. This is something I put together for myself to keep my winter holiday things organized. It contains a Christmas card address list, planning forms for gift-giving, cards, and parties (from Homemaker’s Helper), etc.
Future Plans:
Eventually, I intend to include two more of these booklets. One will be similar to the winter holiday planner, but will cover the Biblical holidays. The other will be a book of our holiday recipes. The Biblical holidays are new for us, though, so these are still in progress.
