In the summertime, my children often come in with their feet looking something like this:

(Pardon the blurry photo.) These feet are so filthy they look bruised. (They’re not. They’re just dirty.) Besides being kind of gross in general, these dirty feet result in grungy floors, grit in our beds, and bath mats that look like this:
There is a near-constant refrain in our house, during the summer months, of “I need a foot bath!” The problem is, my children are – well, children, and not overly coordinated. They have a hard time bathing their feet without soaking their clothes or making a muddy mess of the bathroom.
So when I heard about Fresh Feet Wipes, I was hooked almost before trying them. Fresh Feet Wipes are wet wipes. They’re a little like baby wipes, but designed specifically for cleaning and refreshing feet. The ingredients are all natural. The package is a nice size for carrying – maybe not in a purse, but in a diaper bag or beach tote. They’re far easier for the kids to use than the bathtub.
Unfortunately, my girls complain that “they stink.” *sigh* The supposed “stink” to which my children refer is the peppermint scent of the wipes. It is rather strong while you’re in the midst of actually wiping your feet. It isn’t nearly as strong, though, once you’re finished, and it is quite refreshing. (A peach scent is coming soon; that might be more appealing for picky young olfactory organs.) Maybe my kids don’t like the wipes (‘though they do like the idea of them, and still ask for them – they just complain about the smell), but I do.
Disclosure: I received my Fresh Feet Wipes free to facilitate this review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post, and all opinions are purely my own – well, and that of my children. 🙂

Rachel,
We use plain ol’ baby wipes (even homemade, when I get motivated to make them). What is the advantage of these?
Deanne (from the HK board…long, long ago)
They’re more refreshing. Aside from that, you certainly could use baby wipes. The creator used to – that’s where she got the idea.
But, much as I hate to say it, these are probably healthier than the baby wipes most of us are using on our babies’ behinds. They’re all-natural. (Yes, that probably means we ought to switch baby wipes!)
Here are some ways why they are different listed on their website:
· Right size and strength to get your whole foot clean.
· Perfect balance of saturation to cleanse without leaving your feet wet.
· Refreshing Peppermint to invigorate and deodorize.
· Alcohol free and All natural ingredients including Aloe and Vitamin E to moisturize.
· Strong enough to clean your feet yet gentle enough to use on your whole body.
Although they sound interesting I do love peppermint and it is refreshing, I must admit I would not purchase them it is unfortunately just another throwaway product. Our society has to stop relying on products that just add to our landfill as well as to laziness in our children. Use a washcloth and a little natural peppermint soap, same results, cloth is washable so this is eco-friendly unlike the wipes which are thrown away so they end up in landfill, and this of course is after they have used up resources to be produced and shipped to you.
