I know these Gerber yogurt blends are supposed to be for babies, but when I got the opportunity to try them, I wanted to try them. They have 2g/serving of whole grains, and the grain is rice and quinoa, so they don’t contain any gluten ingredients. I was going to take them with me for snacking at Relevant, since they don’t have to be refrigerated until they’re open, but I didn’t get that far!
I got a couple packages each of the Apple Cinnamon and Blueberry flavors, and I did get to try one of each, but my kids gobbled up the others. (The baby is actually not eating solids quite yet, but the bigger girls ate them.)
They loved them! They have a thick, creamy texture. No artificial sweeteners or preservatives. Unfortunately, they don’t have any live cultures, either, as they’re pasteurized after culturing. But these are still a pretty healthy snack, and easy to pack since you don’t have to refrigerate them. It’s pretty good when a baby-friendly snack can also be appreciated by the big kids and the grownups! I’m thinking these would be good additions to smoothies, too.
