Updated 9/4/2019. Originally shared 6/27/2013 in connection with a blogging promotion. I am a “regular” member of the program, myself, and the links in this post are my referral code. (I received no monetary compensation from this post. And, frankly, I’d be sharing about it with you, anyway, because it’s a really great opportunity!)
I had the privilege, due to one of my blogging contacts, to learn about Tyndale Rewards. In their words:
The Tyndale Rewards program is designed to provide you with opportunities to get books and Bibles for zero dollars. That’s right—F. R. E. E. As a member of the Tyndale Rewards program, you’ll have access to inspiring literature, Bibles, special promotional offers, and much more.
Other member incentives include a free gift on your birthday, along with opportunities to share your personal recommendations and feedback concerning Tyndale products. The more participation you have with the program, the more points you earn—and points translate into free stuff! The Tyndale Rewards program is a great way to get free books and Bibles that you can keep for yourself or give to friends and family. Your journey to earning free faith-based products is here!
My Experience (So Far)
Of course, this sounded like a great opportunity, so I signed up right away to check it out. Members can earn points for things like referring friends, reviewing Tyndale products, taking surveys to help them understand their readers better, etc. You can also earn a few extra points one a one-time basis for various “profile completion”-type tasks.
You may be skeptical – as I was, at first – about whether it’s really possible to accumulate enough points to actually redeem for anything. (This is an issue I’ve had with some “rewards” programs – it takes so long to accumulate anything that it isn’t worth it.) But YES, it is definitely possible! At the end of my first day, having not yet had any referrals, I had 85 points in my account.
This is enough to redeem. Points may be redeemed for a selection of Tyndale products which are in their redemption catalog (my term, not theirs). Most of their “prices” seem to range from about 100 points to 300 points, with most being around 130-160. (Bibles may be a bit more; children’s fiction is at the lower end.) And it’s good stuff; we’re not talking about some obscure books they’re offering for the Rewards program because they couldn’t get anyone to buy them. (I actually redeemed the majority of my points right away, and know what I want next, because two books, in particular, jumped right out at me as, “Wow, that looks good!”*)
If you sign up using my link, you’ll get 25 points in your account right away as a signup bonus (and I’ll get 10 points for referring you).
Points do not expire, and even if you never got a referral, you could earn 50 points a month by reviewing products. That means you could potentially redeem for a book every other month. Not too shabby!
So what are you waiting for?
*In case you’re curious, I “bought” The Language of Blessing.
