The shirts in this post were provided by Hip Together, to facilitate my review. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
It feels a little narcissistic to be writing a post with all of these pictures of me. But the goal here is not show off myself but, rather, to show off my cool new shirt from Hip Together. Well, technically, shirts.
(It’s kind of scary, actually, how crazy I look in some of these pictures if you get just the right — or is it wrong? — angle. An unfortunate consequence of waiting…and waiting…and waiting. for. the. camera. to. go. off. Sorry!)
Long-Sleeved Burnout Tees
The under layer here is an awesome long-sleeved burnout t-shirt. It’s actually really hard to find “solid” v-neck burnout tees — and in long sleeves is an especially rare combination. But that’s what we have here. (Although you can’t tell it has a v-neck because it’s under the other shirt, which is not.) This comes in around a dozen colors, and it’s perfect for layering under vests, button-ups, or jackets when you want a bit of texture peeking out. Or, of course, for layering under other t-shirts…like this “Mommy of 4″ tee.
The “Mommy of x” tee is available in every number up through nine — so, single digits, ladies. (Sorry; if you have more children than that you’ll have to find a different style. But there are many!) [UPDATE: It is true that only 1-9 are readily available on the site, but I’ve been informed that Hip Together can do any number! So if you need a double-digit number, just contact them.] Except, of course, zero, because why would you want to bother with a “Mommy of…” t-shirt if your kid count is 0?
I think this t-shirt would make a really fun baby announcement! Just pick the number one up, take a picture and send it to Grandma, share it on Facebook, etc. (While you’re over at Facebook, you can give Hip Together a shout out.)
What do you think? How would you put this shirt to work? Or is there another one that’s your favorite?
Thanks for the great review!
While we only have the numbers 1-9 on our web site, we do have the ability to do our Mommy of shirts for ANY number. (I think the world record is 69.)
That is good to know! I’ll update the post to reflect that.
I was already thinking the shirt was cute – and then you mentioned using it as a birth announcement and I liked it even more. 🙂 What an awesome idea!
