My little girls love to have their fingernails polished.   I don’t mind the color, but I do mind the stink – all those nasty chemicals that they’re breathing in.  (And that everyone else has to smell, just because they’re unfortunate enough to be within 100 feet.)  That’s why I love Hopscotch Kids nail colors!  All the color, none of the stink – or icky chemicals.

These polishes contain water, acrylic polymers (it’s what lets them get “hard” – you can’t drink it, but it’s plenty safe for on your nails), and colorants.  That’s it.  No nasty odor.  You can breathe while applying this stuff.  And the quality is good.  There’s just a hint of shimmer in it.  Not tacky cheap-looking glitter, just shimmer.  It’s quite classy enough for me, as an adult.  The consistency is good, too.  I’ve tried some polishes that you have to put on three coats before it’s not flat-out see-through.  And others are so thick they just glop.  This is just right, making it easy to apply.

And they’ve thought of everything!  Even the bottles are designed with wide bases so they don’t tip over easily.  Which traditional polish bottles definitely do.

There are plenty of color options, ranging from classic to colorfully fun.  Even black, if that floats your boat.  And you’re not stuck with predetermined combinations if you want to buy a multipack.  You can buy gift packs with either two polishes and a remover, or with three polishes, and you pick your colors.  So you could put together a pair for your favorite team, like this combo of Eenie Meenie Minie Moe (green) and You Are My Sunshine (yellow), which would thrill my little Packers fans. 🙂

And it’s probably sacrilege to say so, but I’m sure someone else is wondering…Piggy Paint remover will take this off.  I don’t know if it works as well as the remover that’s designed to be used with this polish, but I forgot to buy remover ahead of time and had to use what was already in the cupboard.  It worked.

These would make great stocking stuffers for the little girls – or the big girls – in your life!
