I recently had the opportunity to try out a nursing top from Milk.  Not all nursingwear companies sell XS’s, so I was glad to find that they do.  I was also glad to see some rich, bright colors!  They have a number of items I really like, including the keyhole dress and sleeveless crossover top, but I ultimately chose the chic crossover top in teal.

I love the color!  The fabric has a nice hand (in other words, it feels nice) and drape, too.  And the overall fit is good.  It fits a little oddly around the empire waist, though.  I feel like it wants to ride up the bustline a bit, rather than sitting below like it’s supposed to.  If I  “fiddle” it into place, it works, so it has plenty of room in the bust; it’s just as if the elastic isn’t snug enough or something.  I don’t know if that’s a weakness of the design or just a result of me being oddly-shaped.  (Perhaps I should just choose something more adjustable, like the everyday tie-front top.)

All in all, though, I like this top.  It’s nice to have something a little “different” in my wardrobe.  I think you’re supposed to nurse in this shirt from the top, but I have a hard time doing that discreetly.  I’m pretty sure that’s just ’cause I’m spastic!  For those of us who are inept this way, you can also just nurse from the bottom; the outer panel is separate all the way around, so that works very smoothly.

I would definitely shop Milk in the future.
