Babies tend not to use plates effectively. And if you find yourself at a fast food restaurant, you definitely can’t give them the paper wrappers as eating surfaces. (You know they will yank on it and send the food flying!) But you don’t want them eating off of the public table, either, right? The alternative is Table Toppers.
Table Toppers are disposable placemats with adhesive strips so you can stick them to the table, use them, then pull them up and throw them away.
I like to wrap the front side around the front edge of the table, actually, so my little one doesn’t chew on the table. (Yuck! That’s one thing at home. But out in public, where there’s no telling how many people have touched that table, and with what? Gross.)
The package zipper-seals shut, to make it easy for mom to store the mats and keep them clean. (‘Though just one or two, folded up, are really small for toting in a purse or smaller diaper bag.)
The mats themselves are colorful and fun for baby to look at, and biodegradable.
Neat Solutions also makes similar stick-on toilet seat covers, floor mats, changing mats, and disposable bibs.
Disclosure: Neat Solutions provided me with a package of Table Toppers to facilitate this review. As always, all opinions are purely my own.
