I prefer to use natural products as much as possible, not only for personal care, but also when cleaning my house. Unfortunately, a lot of the “green” cleaners out there are – well, junk. The problem is, they’re all so pricey that we really can’t afford to just buy a bunch of stuff so we can try it and see what works.
Leslie Reichert, “The Green Cleaning Coach,” has come up with a great solution! The Little Cleaning Box is a quarterly subscription service. Four times over the course of 12 months, you’ll receive a box of hand-picked natural cleaning product samples. This gives you the chance to try a variety of products with little investment, so you know what you want to buy more of.

Even better, since Leslie is choosing the products herself, much of the initial winnowing is done for you. I had the opportunity to check out the first quarter’s box, and it’s all good stuff – truly quality brands.
Leslie has some great cleaning tips (I love this one about cleaning ceiling fans!) If you like what you see and want more, Leslie has a whole book called The Joy of Green Cleaning. The Joy of Green Cleaning provides a collection of do-it-yourself recipes for homemade cleansers, as well as suggested (green) commercial alternatives. There is an occasional typo, but the essential content is solid and useful.
Do you have a favorite green cleaning product?
Disclosure: I was provided by the author/creator with the first quarter’s Little Cleaning Box and a copy of The Joy of Green Cleaning ebook to facilitate this review. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
A friend of mine has some of the Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning products – the geranium stuff smells so good!
