Theo Classic Bar Library

As mentioned earlier this week, chocolate is a almost a no-fail gift option for the ladies on your list.  The Theo Classic Bar Library is packaged in a slipcase like books in an actual library (an added little perk for bibliophiles like me 🙂 ).  It contains ten different classic Theo chocolate flavors.

I’m rather boring, so I preferred the ones that were more generally classic/basic flavors: milk chocolate, dark chocolate with orange, dark chocolate with mint, dark chocolate with coconut.  There are a few more “adventurous” flavors that I didn’t care for as much.  There are two salted bars with almonds.  I like salt – a lot – but I wasn’t a big fan of the salted chocolate.  And there’s a dark chocolate with chile bar that I wasn’t a big fan of, either.  This set is a good way, though, to get to try a variety of flavors.  And who knows, maybe you’ll love a flavor you wouldn’t have thought to try!

Theo is the first “bean to bar” chocolate company in the U.S.  They make their chocolate truly “from scratch.” The cacao beans themselves are not grown here (we have the wrong climate for cacao), but they are fair trade and organically-sourced.  Theo even uses green energy sources to power their factory!  (And I love the logo.  Small detail, perhaps, but it’s really well designed.)
