With school starting back up, it will soon be time for homecoming at the high schools. DressFirst has some beautiful ones! They’re not unreasonably expensive for formal/semiformal dresses, and I was particularly impressed that most, if not all, of them are fairly modest. (There are some strapless and strappy dresses that not everyone would be comfortable with, but I’m not seeing anything super-short, super-low-cut, or super-tight.)
This one seems to take its inspiration from Ancient Greece, which particularly caught my eye since we just finished studying Ancient Greece!

And keep in mind that “homecoming dresses” don’t necessarily have to be for homecoming! Do you have a formal Christmas party coming up in a few months? You could order a dress for that. To look your best, wear your best version of a given color. For instance, if this is a better green for you than the traditional Christmas green, you can look your best but still be festive by choosing it instead. Or if you have a wedding to attend (or even if you wanted to use them as bridesmaids’ dresses in your wedding!), or a big date for your anniversary. You get the idea.

Many of these dresses are available in a wide assortment of colors, so if you see one you like but it’s not your color, be sure to click through and see if it’s available in a different one. They are all available in a broad range of sizes and for only $19.99 you can have them make your dress to your measurements! (This is always a big plus for me, as I’m a hard-to-find size.)
