Yesterday I told you about all the materials I printed, laminated, and cut this week, and I promised to tell you where they came from. Here’s the list.
- Leaf attribute charts are an image I found here, credited to Wikipedia; I’m not sure what the original source was. I used PhotoScape to cut this into two parts, so I could print each half on its own sheet of paper.
- Whole & half fruit matching cards from Montessori for Everyone
- From plant to food matching cards from Montessori for Everyone
- Bulb (& similar root system) materials from Montessori Materials (Look for “Underground Storage Systems.”)
- “Where things come from” cards from Montessori for Everyone
- Roman arch 3-part cards from Montessori for Everyone
- Seven Wonders of the Ancient World 3-part cards from Montessori for Everyone
- Leaf attribute matching cards (words/descriptions, no pictures) from Montessori Materials (Look for “leaf labels and games.”)
- Continent 3-part cards (with Montessori map colors) from The Helpful Garden*
- “Life cycle of an apple” 3-part cards (plus control chart for cycle) from Montessori for Everyone
- Botany nomenclature 3-part cards (huge set; includes the plant, stem, leaf, root, tree, flower, seed, and fruit sets) from The Helpful Garden*
- Seed & plant matching 3-part cards from Montessori Print Shop.
- Development of a pea plant cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Layers of the earth 3-part cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Rocks & minerals 3-part cards from Little Schoolhouse in the Suburbs (These are image files.)
- Life cycle of a butterfly 3-part cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Straight/curved (line) cards from Tot School
- Classes of vertebrates cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Geometric solids nomenclature 3-part cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Months of the year cards (with control chart) from Montessori for Everyone
- Bird matching/”Memory” cards from Montessori Print Shop (I didn’t bother to print the first pages; just two copies of the last – the one with the cards.)
- African animal camouflage cards (keyed to Montessori map color) from The Helpful Garden* (I love these; they’re one of my favorites of all we printed up. There are, however, a couple of typos/grammatical errors. One says “nuzzle” instead of “muzzle,” and one uses “it’s” instead of “its.” I just corrected these with a pen and correction fluid before laminating.)
- Parts of the flag nomenclature 3-part cards from The Helpful Garden*
- Body organs 3-part cards from The Learning Ark (I’m not crazy about these. They’re made well enough, but I don’t like the images. They aren’t as consistent/cohesive as some of our other sets, the brain looks a little odd, and the “small intestine” actually includes both intestines. I would guess these are not easy images to find, so I totally understand, but I think I’ll keep my eyes open for a different set.)
- Attributes of matter cards from here (direct link to the PDF, as I can’t seem to find the webpage again)
- Christ, the center of history “timeline” lesson from Montessori for Everyone
- Land and water forms nomenclature 3-part cards (photographs) from The Helpful Garden*
- Land and water forms nomenclature 3-part cards (illustrations – to match landform trays) from The Helpful Garden*
- Day/night photo of earth from space from The Helpful Garden*
- Western and Eastern hemispheres from space photos from The Helpful Garden*
- Parts of an unborn baby/uterus nomenclature 3-part cards from The Helpful Garden*
*All of her cards are beautifully done. I love them and highly recommend them! She has others we didn’t print, simply because this was already a lot of cards!
Thanks again! Very helpful!
Thank you so much, Rachel, what a resource you have provided for us to use. You are a blessing!
