A Sense of the Resurrection

Particularly if you’ve purchased one of the Ultimate Bundles in the past, you might be familiar with Truth in the Tinsel.  Well, all-new from the author of that ebook comes this one, A Sense of the Resurrection.  Before I get into any real details, let me hit just a few highlights.  Things that make this book great:

• It’s an ebook, so you can get it right now; it’s not too late!  (You won’t have 12 days before Easter, obviously, but you can choose to use only part of it, or start at Easter.)
• As I alluded to in my last point, it doesn’t really matter whether you call your celebration “Easter” or “Passover” or “Firstfruits,” or whatever.  Although the subtitle is An Easter Experience for Families, the real point is the main title: A Sense of the Resurrection.  If you commemorate the resurrection as a family, you can make use of this.
• It highlights the five senses.  This makes it especially great for preschoolers or kindergarteners.  (And you could use it any time of the year as a unit study, actually.)
• There are twelve activities.  It’s intended that you’ll do all twelve, but you don’t have to.  Use it as a resource and do as many or as few as you want/need to.  Especially if you’re jumping in late, you might want to cut some out.  You can always come back to them another time.

What’s it All About?

Each day provides a little devotional, as well as hands-on activities – especially involving one of the five senses – to make the Biblical account “come alive.”  These pennants are included to color, one for each day.  Coloring is a great activity to keep little hands busy (but quiet) while you read, or to help reinforce what they’ve learned.  (Here I’ve told my program to print six pages per sheet so they’d be little and I could make a mini-banner.)
