90 Days to Pray
Shameless plug: This is my newest (completed) project. Prayer Practice: 90 Days of Praying Outside the Box is designed to stretch you and get you out of your comfort zone as you work through it.
Each day has a new challenge. You’ll start with easy things like praying for five minutes. By the end, the challenges will be tougher, like praying for an hour. Along the way, other challenges will cause you to think differently about prayer.
What the Challenges Are & Aren’t
Now, it should be noted that these challenges are not meant to be a doctrinal treatise. Some of them are activities you may never do again outside of this book. For example, day 58: “Tell God a joke.” I would never suggest that telling God jokes is an essential part of prayer! But this particular challenge is part of a series designed to get the reader thinking – really thinking – of God as a person who is present with him. Communicating in ways we would communicate face-to-face with other flesh-and-blood friends – even for just a little while – is a good way to work on those thought patterns.
Other challenges are also designed to “shake things up” and pull you out of your rut. However, they’re not all that unorthodox. Some are as simple as baby steps toward praying longer or more often, or broadening your prayer focus.
Each day’s challenge is accompanied by a quote about prayer, to inspire you.
By the time you’re finished with the 90-day challenge, I hope your prayer life will be deeper, richer, and more vibrant.
(And if you read it and like it, it would be super-helpful to me if you could leave a review at Amazon.)

The Next Project
The next project I’m working on getting finished should complement this one nicely. It’s a “how to” book for quiet times. Like most of my books, it’s not super-long, but it’s all information – no fluff. I’m struggling with what to call it, though, so I’m asking for your help…and I’ve decided to offer a giveaway as a thank-you for the help.
Here’s what I need you to do. Share your title ideas with me in the Rafflecopter widget. The widget will allow for an entry each day, so please feel free to enter every day with a different title idea. All entries will be considered valid as long as they seem to be legitimate entries. (That is, if it looks like you’re just spamming the widget, I’ll toss it. But if it seems to be a real suggestion, I’ll take it.)
The first draft is already finished, but if you have specific feedback regarding what you’d like to see covered in such a book, please leave that, too, and you’ll get bonus entries for that. (I can’t make any promises regarding the content, but I’d like to be sure all the major questions are addressed!)
When the Rafflecopter ends, I will randomly choose one winner, who will get an ebook copy of the book y’all are helping name, as soon as it’s finished. The winner will also get either a hard copy of Prayer Practice, or a hard copy of the upcoming book when it’s available – your choice. (By the way, the widget says US/Canada only. Anyone in the world can enter, but I may or may not be able to ship a hard copy of a book to other parts of the world. If a non-US/Canada entrant wins, I could send you two ebooks instead.)

[…] the old ink should come off, too.) I also have some print-outs in the front of my notebook about prayer, meditating on Scripture, etc. You could keep notebook paper in the book, as well, if you like to […]
