Last night, the Wii told us that the battery charge for our remote was getting low, and hubby and I got to talking about charging stations. Neither of us was sure how expensive they are, and Michael was saying that he thinks they’re probably pretty expensive – but not too bad in the grand scheme of things and/or by comparison to the cost of batteries, unless your batteries are free. Which is kind of funny, because right now, our batteries are free. (Well, sort of. Staples had AA and AAA batteries “free after rebate” during December. Except that since it’s tied to my Rewards account, I’m thinking it’s probably not a pure rebate, but a rebate of Staples Rewards. That makes for a lot of office supplies. I suppose that we shall see next month.) Anyway, I’ve just checked them out on Amazon, and the price is really not that bad. So if you have a Wii, you might consider giving your pocketbook and the planet a break by getting a charging station and switching over from regular batteries. (And now that Christmas is just over, how many of us have either new Wiis or new Wii games? 🙂 )

I got a Wii for Christmas. My husband wants to get a charging station, but I don’t because 1. I will just be more clutter on the entertainment center. 2. A pack of rechargeable batteries (we already have a battery charger) is cheaper than the Wii charger.
Now that is a good point, for those who already have battery chargers!
