We got these really cool socks for my preschooler to try out…and she didn’t want to have anything to do with them. “I don’t want to wear them.” I told her all about them. “They have handles on them to make them easier for you to pull on. And look, they have these cool frogs on them, so you can tell which side is the top.” “I don’t want to wear them ever.”
*sigh* We tried this multiple days. I asked her to just put them on long enough that I could take a picture. Nope. I asked if she could put one on halfway so I could take a picture. She wasn’t having it. “Look, they’re even made without seams at the end to irritate your toes.” She just really didn’t want anything to do with them. Even the lady who was staying with us for the day (so I don’t have to wrestle with the girls while I’m supposed to be on bed rest) tried. Finally, we asked her why she doesn’t like them. “They’re not white.”
I guess she’s like her mama – she prefers plain and basic. The solids are my favorites. (They come in black, white, navy, and pink.) But these EZ Sox also come in a variety of “critters,” and the obvious advantage (besides their being cute) is that it’s easy for a little one to tell which way is up.
My husband finally convinced her to put them on. (He’s just awesome like that. He can get her to do all kinds of things that I can’t get her to do.)

And once she finally had them on, she was tickled with them. They look super-comfy. They fit very snugly – not tight, just not all baggy and annoyingly scrunchy. And they have little non-skid thingies on the bottom so I don’t have to worry about her slipping and falling down the stairs or something. Plus, they’re awfully cute.

(I’m not sure what’s with the color in this photo, though; the color in the other pictures is accurate.)
Honestly, Sophia is good enough with her socks already that she doesn’t need the helper handles. But they would be a great training tool for little ones just learning to put on their own socks. And either way they’re just nice socks – they have just the right amount of stretch for a comfortable fit, and no icky seams along the toes. (There is, technically, a seam above the toes. But even it doesn’t feel like a seam. And there’s nothing along the end where sock seams usually are.)
If you would like to win a pair for your own little one (or to give as a gift), go visit EZ Sox, then come back here and leave a comment telling me which pair you would choose if you won. This giveaway will close to entries on December 20th.
Disclosure: I received a pair of EZ Sox free of charge for the sake of review. All opinions expressed in this post are completely my own – as you could probably guess from my description of my daughter.

I just love the looks of the red ladybug pair!
