I recently had the opportunity to try the new Yoplait Splitz. Honestly, I didn’t care much for them plain, as these are exceptionally creamy yogurts. (My children really liked them, though.) Because of their creaminess, however, they’re very good frozen. Pop one in the freezer ’til it’s good and frozen, then pull it back out and let it thaw slightly (so you can actually scoop it out of the container!) and it’s pretty tasty. I also noticed that the containers are a pretty decent size and set up (with foil lids) for popsicles. I think you could just poke a popsicle stick right through the lid before sticking it in the freezer, and then peel everything off once it’s frozen for some super-easy popsicles.
Unlike many other yogurts (including a few of the ones made by Yoplait), the Splitz flavors do not include any artificial sweetenersings, which is an important point for us. (Artificial sweeteners are a deal-breaker at our house.)
These can be a good option when you need something fairly healthy, but storebought and easy.
