Philips Norelco Turbo Vacuum Stubble Trimmer

A popular modern look is facial hair that’s trimmed very short, to resemble 5 o’clock shadow.  But how do you maintain that?  With a stubble trimmer.

The Philips Norelco Turbo Vacuum Stubble Trimmer is designed for maintaining this sort of look, and/or for trimming a beard or moustache.  The cutting length can be adjusted from .5 mm up to 18mm.  (18mm is more than 2/3 inch.)  The vacuum feature helps pull the hairs away from the face so they can be trimmed evenly.

Like all Philips Norelco products we’ve tried, this one does the job well.  And not only does it trim well, it charges quickly and lasts for a good while once charged.  (The package says almost an hour, but hubby doesn’t usually need it for that long at a time, so I can’t say whether that’s accurate.)  Hubby does say that the vacuum feature minimizes the mess, but doesn’t completely eliminate it.  He says there are still some hairs that need to be cleaned off the counter after trimming.

This trimmer will not “shave.”  I do wish it would.  It would be nice to have a “0 mm” option for getting clean edges.  (This is something we actually looked for it to do, and were disappointed it lacked.  Hubby’s old trimmer would “trim” to 0 length.)
