Yesterday was our first day of school for the 2013-14 school year. Our first unit is Ancient Greece, and I found this video through Pinterest, for learning the Greek alphabet. It’s really fun, and a great mnemonic device (that also incorporates movement, for our kinesthetic learners!) Except for Sophia, who was being cranky, we all enjoyed it. Even Livia (2), who probably didn’t really learn it because she still can’t talk much still had fun. Ariel (11) and I both found it helpful. (I actually studied Greek in high school, but still never remembered the alphabet in order.)
