Libre Tea Glass

This tea glass is a wonderful invention!  Although you can, obviously, use it at home, it’s designed especially to make it easy to drink loose leaf tea on the go.

The canister portion is comprised of two layers – the inner layer is glass, so there is no plastic to come into contact with your hot tea.  The outer layer is polycarbonate.  This helps insulate your hands from the hot tea, decreases its fragility, and keeps the glass from being too heavy.

All you have to do is add your loose tea to the glass, pour in hot water, then screw on the top(s) and go.  The primary top has a built-in stainless steel strainer, so you can drink without worrying about sucking in tea leaves.  (There is also a lid.)  If you prefer, you can steep the tea “upside-down.” (See the instructions/video for more information.)  The package includes a spare silicone gasket.

Besides being brilliantly functional, the Libre is also very beautiful!  The photo doesn’t even do it justice.

It comes in two sizes: the original (260 mL) and the large (420 mL/14 oz).  There is also a mug (holds 280 mL), as well as a glass/glass (as opposed to glass/polycarbonate) version (290 mL).
