Kaleidoscopes to You
KaleidoscopestoYou.com is a company that sells a variety of kaleidoscopes. Many of these are made of beautiful materials. The whole family will enjoy both using these and looking at them on display.
The model we received is a “teleidoscope.” Rather than having little bits and bobs encased inside it, it has a marble set into the end, and you look through it – like a telescope – to see the things around you mirrored into circular symmetry – like a kaleidoscope.
It’s made of wood and, as you can see, is very beautiful. It comes with the stand you see pictured, and it’s carefully gift-boxed. (See this picture of the teleidoscope inside its fabric pouches, but out of the gift box.)
The kids, Michael, and I have all enjoyed playing with this. Here are some pictures of what you see when you look through it. (Keep in mind that it’s pretty tricky to take pictures through something like this; what you see is far clearer in real life, and not fuzzy around the edges or off-center! This is just to give you an idea.)
These would be good whole-family gifts, as a change from the traditional games, movie baskets, etc. (‘Though those are still good gifts!)
