It’s time for our side dishes in the Whole Foods for the Holidays progressive dinner. Honestly, when it comes to side dishes for our holiday meals, we usually just do simple: steamed broccoli or green beans, for instance, maybe with a little butter. But if you want to try something a little less ordinary, give this a try:
Millet With Cauliflower
1 cup millet
2 cups cauliflower, in small pieces
3 cups water
salt and pepper to taste
optional: garlic powder, dill, or other seasonings
In a medium or large saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
Cover, and reduce heat to simmer for 40-45 minutes. When there are about 20 minutes left, check the water level; you may need to add another 1/2 cup water.
