A friend took some flak from her brother recently because of the way her fiancé signed the card on some flowers he sent: “yours.” The world doesn’t like this wording, either, because people are not possessions so it is believed that we can’t “own” each other. But, in a sense, my husband and I mutually belong to each other. This is not offensive to us; rather, it is something in which we take great comfort! We believe that there are no accidents – that God has everything planned out – so we believe that we were created for each other.
